About

Writing at the intersection of culture & power.

I am a writer and editor focused on cultural criticism and narrative journalism. I have written for The Nation, C-VILLE Weekly, IJNet, and FILMHOUNDS.

I graduated from the University of Virginia, where I studied English and Political and Social Thought. At UVA, I served as Editor in Chief of a political magazine, Prose Editor for the Virginia Literary Review, and interned with the International Center for Journalists through the Dow Jones News Fund.

I grew up in Central America, Asia, and Europe. This upbringing shaped how I think about culture and power. I am currently a Peace Corps volunteer in a small town in the Colombian Andes, where I teach English and write about culture, politics, and daily life. I will return to the U.S. in late 2026.
